Multicolored cyanosis
Cyanosis delights and touches me endlessly. And I always catch her amazing smell in the garden - subtle, delicate, refined, somewhat reminiscent of jasmine.
My lovely cyanosis blue (Polemonium caeruleum) - from the same family (cyanosis) with phloxes, although the plants are not similar to each other. During flowering, its bushes are up to a meter high. Soft green openwork leaves are in perfect harmony with airy flowers. These miniature "bells" with a diameter of 1-1.5 cm do not hang in the inflorescence, but rush up to the same blue sky as they are.

The white-flowered form of cyanosis is also very elegant. Composed with silver wormwood, velvet stachis and variegated cereals, she looks like a bride at a wedding. And the environment only emphasizes the tenderness of her appearance.
The variegated form is especially dear to me, though it is more demanding of conditions and grows more slowly. But such a bruise can not even bloom, anyway, it has been in the spotlight all season.

Cyanosis feels good in the semi-shady corners of the garden next to hosts, incense, primrose, daylilies, Siberian irises and buzulniki. Planted them in the middle of the flower garden, as in the second half of summer the decorativeness of the bushes is slightly reduced. To cause a second wave of flowering, I immediately cut off the faded stems and bring in potassium-phosphorus fertilizer.

By the way, the foliage of this perennial is not afraid of the September frosts, just the bushes change their usual outfit to bright lemon.
In fact, cyanosis is quite indifferent to soils and light, but they love water very much. I have them grow well on poor soil of a rocky flower garden among dwarf coniferous and deciduous shrubs next to unpretentious geraniums, cuffs, and loosestrife.

Perennial propagated by seeds, division of the bush and cuttings. In the spring, ask the neighbors to cut off the shoot with the heel that has grown from the underground kidney (10-15 cm long), plant it under a plastic bottle, and in a month you will have a bruise. Grown from seeds, it will bloom only in the second year.
And cyanosis is a famous healer. It has been proven that the infusion from its roots calms more effectively than valerian, helps with debilitating coughs and insomnia, and together with dried cough, heals a stomach ulcer. In short, cyanosis is a handywoman.
