Many of the medicinal herbs have an amazing ability to "search" for a diseased organ and selectively affect a particular disease, acting gradually and gently.
On the other hand, the same herbs are used for a variety of ailments. Recall at least the well-known St. John's wort - grass from 99 diseases.
The assortment of green pharmacy is wide. We use only a small fraction, and there are plants that are not so "full of edge". One of them is cyanosis blue, or azure, popularly known as swearing grass.
Decoctions of the roots of cyanosis have a pronounced expectorant effect in chronic bronchitis, tuberculosis, asthma. Cyanosis is widely used as a sedative, 8-10 times stronger than valerian. It is no coincidence that the cyanosis was called the "Queen of Sleep." It is also used for epilepsy, fevers, it soothes chest pain when coughing. In a mixture with St. John's wort and dried marsh decoction, the roots of cyanosis contribute to scarring of stomach ulcers and reduces pain.
In a glass of water I take 2 tablespoons of the crushed roots of cyanosis, boil for 20 minutes in a water bath, after which I insist 3 hours. I drink 1-2 tablespoons 3 times a day after meals, and with sleep disorders and overexcitation, 3 tablespoons an hour before bedtime.
The course of treatment is 1 month with breaks for 2-3 days every 10 days.
Baths from the infusion of cyanosis and lemon balm relieve stress and normalize sleep. To prepare the bath, take one glass of dried herbs.
For many years I have been growing blue cyanosis on the site, not only as a medicinal, but also as an ornamental plant. It is moisture-loving, winter-hardy, but does not tolerate heat and drought. It grows well in light shade between rows of fruit trees and shrubs. Prefers fertile light soil. I prepare the plot for sowing in advance. When digging, I bring one bucket of manure and a glass of lime per 1 sq.m. The best time for sowing is autumn. In spring sowing, preliminary stratification of seeds is required at a temperature of + 2-4 ° for a month.

Cyanosis is unpretentious and does not require special care except watering and weeding. It usually blooms in the second year. For medicinal purposes, I dig out the roots of biennial plants in October and dry at a temperature of 50-60 ″. To top it all, cyanosis is a good honey plant.
Grow cyanosis on your site, and there’s no need to look for sleeping pills and expectorant pills in pharmacies.
