Yucca is a fast-growing, tub plant that is most suitable for decorating large rooms. Also such an incomparable plant as yucca is able to decorate a room, office or conservatory. Yucca is a photophilous plant and also loves the purity of the air. For proper care, the plant will repay you with an overgrown chic bush with wonderful long leaves. Its beauty is not only limited to this: yucca is also able to bloom and can please paniculate inflorescences.

There are approximately 40 species of plants, most of them distributed in Central America. The plant is considered to be tree-like, since it is very similar to a palm tree, the yucca has a straight trunk, and the crown consists of leaves that are quite stiff and slightly prickly. The second unofficial name of the plant is "palm lily."
As for cultivation, in open ground yucca can be planted without concern only in warm climates, i.e. the plant can easily adapt in the south of Russia.
Yucca is quite popular in Europe, it is usually bought to decorate large apartments, conservatories. The popularity of yucca lies not only in its beauty; for each grower, reproduction also plays a huge role. With stem cuttings, it is in this simple method that the yucca propagates.

If we talk about the addictions of the plant, yucca loves frequent watering and humid air. Humidity is created by spraying. About once a week, a yucca needs a so-called peculiar warm shower - so that the leaves do not rust and dry. For young plants, it is best to choose a place with bright lighting, and it is recommended to expose them more often in the sun. But this does not mean that yucca loves sunflower, rather the opposite - she needs a cool place, in winter, for example, the optimum temperature of the plant should be 10-12 degrees. C, while watering should be significantly reduced, making it possible to dry the soil in a pot.
Like many plants, yucca is no exception and has its enemies, various pests. The greatest danger to the plant is shoot moth. A small butterfly that looks like homemade moth is capable of laying eggs on a yucca trunk. Further, the soft tissues of the plant are eaten by moth larvae. The plant is affected by moths or not - it is easily determined by the color of the leaves, they turn yellow. There is only one method for preventing onion moths - inspection of the plant before purchase. Chemical agents against moths do not exist. If the leaves turn yellow, do not be scared, as this is also possible due to a lack of light. Also, the plant is affected by a spider mite, a scab.
